Life As a Pitcher

We’re not talking about baseball here…

We’re talking about pouring—not tossing.

Do you see yourself as a pitcher…a container of liquid pouring out on people wherever you go?…because we are.

We’re always pouring something out on somebody…

Pouring out words…good, bad, blessing, cursing.

Pouring out thought waves…good vibes, bad vibes.

Pouring out actions…helpful, hurtful.

Take a look at what’s in your pitcher.

What tap is your pitcher filling from?

Is the liquid clear and refreshing or polluted or stagnant?

Take good care of yourself so you have fresh water in your pitcher…that’s what you’ll have to pour out for others.

I’m going to wash my pitcher out and fill it with fresh water….meet you at the pump!

Procrastination

Sounds like a bad word doesn’t it?

If we can find out/see why we’re procrastinating, we can get past it.

Think about it for you, your family, relationships, work, projects–even hobbies.

Why am I putting this (see above) off???

*I’m afraid to do it.

*I don’t like to do it.

*I don’t think I can do it.

*I don’t want to do it.

*I won’t get any credit if I do it.

*It doesn’t interest me any longer.

*I’m tired of it.

*I have another project I’d rather be doing.

*It’s turning out differently than I hoped.

*It costs more than I thought.

*I don’t think anybody will like it.

If we allow ourselves to examine why—get real with ourselves–then we can get past it.

Don’t let procrastination steal from you any longer.

What will I decide to do or stop doing today…?

P.S. I procrastinated writing this blog post.

The Choir of Humanity

Our earth is filled with a multitude of voices, many speaking together at the same time.

Can we liken this (us) to a choir– singing in performance together, yet each having our own voice…some singing soprano, alto, tenor or bass.

Everyone singing together….and then a hush while the baritone brings forth.

A well trained choir sings together showcasing each other under the directorship of the conductor, who has studied the score and thought in advance how each voice and section can best be utilized for the good of the whole, and bring the most delight to the listeners.

If we–each individual human–starting only with ourselves, began practicing our singing to join in and bring out the best from each other… under the infinite leadership of our creator, who started this whole choir, just think what an impact we could be!!!

What might our world look like if that happened ???

…if I practiced my singing today–in the car on my way to work…practiced while I walked the dog with my friend…practiced while I thought about my family, or while on my break at work…

How would my singing, my voice, help lift another’s voice to concert pitch… in key with others in their section, and make the earth a better place.

….just some thoughts.
