America!

America is great because God made her great…..because we made God great!

Throughout the centuries, any time a people, or a person or a nation has honored, credited God for his presence and help, God in turn has helped and honored them.

As they take a step towards him, he will take two steps towards them. That’s the kind of God he is, always there, ready to help and looking ahead of us. While we’re stumbling along he is already there with the help and the solution.

In spite of the doomsday-sayers, there is great hope for any nation, any people, any person who will simply say, “Help me, God!”

People think of God as a get-even, mean, pay-you-back for what you deserve type God, but that is religion’s god, not the real God.

God is for us, for his creation and for all the peoples that he made, who live all over the globe. He is not a God of destruction, rather a God of creation, creating good in everything he does…and that is his intention for us and for our work, lives, families.

Can we do it?

Absolutely yes!

It starts with a change of mind…what is one good thing I can do today, what is one good think I can do right now?

What is one teeny-tiny step in the right direction I could take today to make better something I’ve noticed?

We people tend to be followers; what if we cause people to follow us in the right direction….what if we all banded together in our communities, put aside our differences, rolled up our sleeves and helped one another?

We would experience change!

Now GO! Change your day! Change your neighborhood! Change your life!

The Chrysalis

Currently I’m in a state of chrysalis.

I got tired of being a caterpillar crawling around chewing on leaves. I wanted to see changes in my life. The only way to become a butterfly flying freely whenever and wherever, is to go through the metaphorical process of the chrysalis!

Big words yes, but big results!

Sometimes the chrysalis stage can be so difficult, so taxing … so like we just want to burst out of where we are, but cannot quite do it …we aren’t quite ready , but we are growing and developing.

The churning inside, pushing away from the old past…stretching and leaning…yearning towards the new …to what we want to become… at times seems too great!

That’s what every other butterfly had to do and they came out successfully, and we will too… if we stick with the process. Then, when we look back, it won’t seem that long we were in the transformation. It will be so rewarding! We will be so glad we endured through the process.

I am hanging in there through my chrysalis of becoming a better me.

What are you pushing through right now that seems impossible?

Keep pushing; you will find the way!

One Leaf

A tree needs more than one leaf.

“There’s no point in me doing that! Someone else is already doing it.”

“There’s no point in me making that someone else has already made it.”

“There’s no point in me saying that, writing that…someone else has already done it.”

Why is my leaf needed when there already is another leaf !?!

How many of us like to sit under a tree with only one leaf on a hot summer day? What if it had one great big leaf? Would that be better?

Every leaf is needed, no matter what its size.

The more leaves, the more fresh oxygen is produced, the more transpiration of moisture to keep more people cool.

What if there was only one gas station per city, or one grocery store per city or one coffee shop per city, one park…..They would be crowded and people couldn’t comfortably get in to get what they need…probably wouldn’t have the selection they wanted either.

Don’t despise your leaf!

Shine it up, hang it up and get busy providing what only your leaf can do!!

Everybody’s leaf is needed!!!
