Who Do I Want to Be?

Who are we becoming? Who am I becoming?

Chuck Swindoll said,”If everyone in the church were just like me, what kind of church would my church be?”

I’ve pondered this alot personally.

How do others see me? Am I the kind of person I what to be? Why?

We tend to always see this, and ourselves in a negative way.

Let’s look at it from a positive way.

What if I used my abilities in a greater way today? What if I let my ideas grow and make alot more money with them? How could making more money help me and then help others?

John Wesley said to earn all you can, save all you can, give all you can for as long as you can.

What if every day, I began thinking, ‘how can I use what I have to help more people’?

I want to do better than I am now. I want to become a better person than I am now. Is there a way to become better, by investing in myself for the benefit of others?

That isn’t selfishness, that is advancing who God made you to be. Think with me…where do I want to begin improving me…now?

Beauty!

Our world needs to see beauty. We thrive and derive energy from beauty!

Beauty is to be a part of everyday life!

God is the creator, He created good and he created beauty, and what he created he said was good! I believe he wants me to create the same beauty, the same good with my life…modeling after his example.

Beauty outweighs ugly everytime. Often all we need to stop ugly and gain beauty is to organize the closet, make the bed, brush our hair, fold the clothes, clean out your desk drawer, keep your car washed, mow the grass and plant a few flowers…or get a fresh cut bouquet and place on your counter!

We, you, I need to see beauty. It is a process, sweeping away the ugly every day, but the reward is a more peaceful mind, a more organized you and happier family 🙂

If you don’t see anything beautiful in your life…create some yourself!

What is your favorite color? Where can you use it more to bring beauty to your life today?

Our Perspective

Yesterday was Mexican!!! Everybody loves Mexican! Happy colors, lively music, tacos, burritos and lots of chips and guacamole! Good, happy, friendly service!

Are you one who came to a foreign land where you hoped to prosper and bring your family along with you? We are all immigrants at some point in our family history, coming to a land we did not know, a language we did not speak, to work we did not have yet…only a future we could behold.

I have traveled a bit to foreign countries. English is my primary language. I have to hand it to those who do not know English yet choose to come and learn our culture, language and dream along with us to have a better future.

It’s not my place to put another down because they are not where I am or speak fully the language I speak. Yes, I want to help and encourage them to become all they hope to become. We all need what each other is able to provide.

Where would America be if she did not have Mexican food and hard working Mexicans serving in every capacity? We are America, the beautiful patchwork of many pieces of fabric…all different textures and colors, making a beautiful nation because of our individual strengths combined.

Think of purebred animals…they tend to be flighty, have health issues and their dispositions are nothing compared to a loving alley cat or plain ole’ mutt dog. Yes, I said we are a hodge-podge nation of some of the best, the strongest, the brightest most loving people in the world.

Let’s stop comparing each other against each other and instead seek and determine how to help and build up each other for our common good!

Remember to view others on their quest the same as you’d want to be seen. Walk a while in another’s shoes.

Be helpful, be extremely thankful, and maybe do Mexican this week! I’ll see you there 🙂
