What Are You a 10 At?

I realize this title ain’t proper grammar, but it’s time to give ourselves permission to get good at what we’re good at!

Why do we choose to punish ourselves trying so hard to be good at what we’re not?

…try to knit when we’d rather sew

…take up jogging when we’d rather bike

…build furniture when we’d rather refinish it

…study math when we’d rather read and write

…attempt customer service when we’d rather be back stage

…etc, etc, etc…

There’s a time and place for everything, but why waste our time and energy pursuing what we’re not interested in anyway, because we feel obligated, or mom or dad wanted us to do that, or that’s all we learned how to do.

This can apply in all areas of our life, from hobbies, chores, vocation and vacation!

We need to switch gears in our thinking, get over the guilt of what we can’t or don’t like to do, and be a peace with and do what we really like to do and are good at.

Find and discover YOU. It may take some time, reflection, trying different things, and asking others what they see in you, but it’s never too late to start on a new journey. You will know you when you find you. You will be happier. You will feel satisfied with your work even though it will be challenging. You will do a better  job. You will think of ways to improve your skills because you want to. Your work will matter to you, and it will benefit and help others in some capacity. It will be your work and you will be proud of it.

Pull Out the Stops!

It’s time to pull out all the stops!

In organ lingo, that means—let all the pipes you got play!

Let ‘er rip! Open it up! We want the FULL SOUND!!!

It’s time for all us us to step up and step it up. Our world needs to hear all the notes we have been given to play.

We are here for a reason and every pipe in the organ is needed and needs to be played now!

If you can only play softly at first…begin there. At least get your organ legs moving. The Master Organist will bring out your sound loud and clear as you let His wind blow across your pipes.

What is stopping your music from being played? Can you find out and open it up to share with the world?

We need to hear your sound.

Good and Evil

Ask yourself the question…what do I consider to be good?

What do I consider to be evil?

Then ask…what do other people think is good?

What do they think is evil?

What determines what is good?

Who says that is evil?

What is good?

What is evil anyway?

What would good look like for me and my family?

What would evil look like for me and my family?

What would it look like if good was done to me and my family?

What would it look like if evil was done to me and my family?

Which do we support?

What do we want to have happen to us? Good or evil?

What are we doing and thinking in our lives? Good or evil?

We make choices every day.

What we decide will impact us and others.

For good or evil.

We have tremendous power.
