Your Campsite

We each live somewhere. That’s our campsite.

In each of our individual campsites we have the choice how we want to live and what we want to think. Within the laws of the land in which we live, we have that right.

So why do so many choose to live a terrible, unorganized, filthy life? Our choices have led us there. And as they have led us there, better choices can lead us elsewhere.

We need to reclaim our campsite – put out the fire, sweep up the ashes and get started on a brand new day! Chop down invasive trees and weeds. Cultivate the soil, plant new seeds, water the land so it will grow and produce goods for us and ours!

Reclaim your pioneer spirit making the best of what you have and increase it.

If we listen closely inside ourselves, God will direct us and give us new ideas to make better decisions and ways of doing things.

We can get our campsites organized, swept up and on to our next destination! Isn’t it fun? A new adventure each and every day!

Where is my broom?

Fall Comfort

There’s a certain autumn comfort around crops being harvested…

…Trees turning colors, produce gathered and canned up or frozen… in anticipation of winter’s onslaught when the ground is frozen and hard.

Knowing we will be taken care of since we took care to plan ahead for our families and loved ones… and because crops have been abundant we could provide for others needs.

Growing up, one of my favorite songs to sing was, “Come Ye Thankful People Come”….raise the song of harvest home, all is safely gathered in, ere the winter storms begin, God our maker doth provide, for our wants to be supplied……… Singing the song and helping mom in the kitchen really brought peace and comfort to my soul.

God will provide.

He will provide for you.

The Land of Plenty

Then why don’t I have anything? or at least what I want/need/desire?

To me, a land of plenty means I can think about what I want, I can envision how to make it happen, and I have access to the materials I need to do it.

We have all these things. We have a mind. We have an imagination. We have something in our power to use. We have people around to help us and who need what we have to offer.

When you think about it, everything made on this earth began with the raw materials close to us.

That’s how last names evolved…Blacksmith, Wellman, Carpenter, Carver, Stonebraker, Shoemaker, Hunter, Potter, Goldsmith, Letterman…pick a trade!

Now days it could be…Blogger, EtsySeller, Writer, Photographer, Coach, Instagrammer, Utuber, Podcaster, Webman….trade your old trade-name for a new trade-name!

It doesn’t matter what your old last name was, take on the new name that is a better fit for today’s times and get busy!

We’ve got different kinds of trees to chop down and use in 2020, but they’re here for us.

They will build our homes. They will fuel our fires. They will cook our food. They will become chairs to sit on. They will introduce us to a whole world of new friends, and we will find our land of plenty where there is no lack!

It begins with the idea. It takes desire and courage to work it through to make it work.

Be determined. Get up. Keep moving. Fall down. Get up. Stay determined. Get moving. Look ahead. Keep your eye on your land of plenty!

How will I begin today? What tools do I already have? Do they need sharpening? Who can help me? What do I really want?

I will start small. I will commend myself for progress. God will open doors as I move forward. He will multiply my efforts.
