Hope

A fixed mindset has no hope.  It has lost its hope.

“There can be no change; Things will always be this way; There’s nothing I can do about it; It’s too late; Things are too bad; It’s gone on too long to see anything different; They’ll never change…”

It has no hope of a different future, a different tomorrow, a different you!

Hope is the propeller on the airplane of life that pulls us forward. We can guide it wherever we want to go when the engine is running.

Hope is freedom; an optimistic view of a new and brighter future; of change; a better tomorrow; a different way of doing things; freedom from the ruts in life… in your life!

Hope is one thing God has given mankind that no matter how bad things become, no matter what has been done, God can fix it. He can cause new growth. He is in the restoration business. There is aways hope. If you only have an ounce of strength or courage, He will give you more. If you feel there’s only a tiny bit of life left in you, He will fan it into flame.

Ask Him to blow on you.

What If?

What if I….

…finished something today I put off yesterday

…began something new today I was afraid to begin yesterday

…called someone today I thought of calling yesterday

…wrote a letter to someone today I thought of yesterday

…started a new habit today I wanted to begin this year

…set aside time for myself today that I wouldn’t yesterday

…thought better thoughts today than I did yesterday

…spoke kinder words today than I did yesterday….

Where would I be tomorrow if I began today?

Begin!

That’s all it takes….just begin!

Where will tomorrow take you if you begin today?

I’m on a Mission

I am on a mission to bring as much good to this world as I can with the capacities I’ve been enabled.

I want to encourage as many people as possible to see the good things already going on in their lives, already going on in this world of ours and be thankful and commit to uphold and multiply them.

God made us a perfectly good world and He expects us to be good users of it…to take good care of it….to improve it, to make it better.

I think it disturbs the heart of God when we trash what He’s given us, whether it’s our body, our family, our homes and yards or places we go.

We’re in a warfare folks; a warfare with ourselves!

Can we decide we’re going to choose to do good… or do we want to side in with the opposition—looking for troubles, complaining and being unthankful? There are people out there who need us, they need our encouragement, they need our good ideas, they need life, they need freedom, they need compassion, concern and care. They need our help to find their way.

Who are we to hold back what we have from contributing to our world according to our unique and individual giftings?

I think we need to rouse ourselves out of this lethargy and say to ourselves–seek within ourselves–what do I have to bring to the table to help whatever situation I am in….as a people trying to live together in this, our world?

Today, I will do one good deed, think one good thought about myself.

Today, I will do one good deed, think one good thought about someone else.

Today, I will plan for tomorrow to do one good deed, think one good thought…..and then repeat.
