One = None?

Crazy thought the other morning!

I was trying to do something…can’t even remember what it was now, but I thought, ‘I don’t feel like I’m any good at this!’ All of a sudden, the spiral down kicked in…’I’m not good at anything!’

Thought about it for a few moments until I realized it was not true. I began remembering all the things I have/had done that did work out for good and quickly silenced the prior notion.

That’s how it works in our mind sometimes…fighting off discouragement, inability, confusion. None of that is true about us. We are good at certain things. We are made to grow and succeed…to develop, to invent, to brainstorm and imagine better ways for life.

It’s a habit we want to develop…remembering past accomplishments when discouragement comes our way.

What today have I done good at and can build forward upon?

Let me think…

Good and Evil

I believe good will ultimately overcome in the end. However, in the meantime…

Evil always seeks to overpower good. That’s why it is called evil.

  • It tries to defeat and destroy the good coming out from others.
  • It wants to be in charge/control.
  • It wants to be centerstage.
  • It wants all eyes on it and what it is doing.
  • It uses fears, threats, intimidations towards the innocent who are trying quietly, faithfully to do good.
  • It feels it won’t get any resistance back from them. They will quietly give in to the demands of it – not wanting to ‘disobey’ or cause a ‘scene’.
  • It is a bully – always pushing, shoving, scheming its next action to get its way.
  • It is very sneaky and wants you to do its work.
  • It will make you think you thought it up.
  • It will condemn you when you do it.
  • It will tell you it was your fault.
  • It will tell you-‘you are hopeless’.

Do not listen to its lies. You are stronger than it. Continue doing your good work.

God is for you.

I’m on a Mission

I am on a mission to bring as much good to this world as I can with the capacities I’ve been enabled.

I want to encourage as many people as possible to see the good things already going on in their lives, already going on in this world of ours and be thankful and commit to uphold and multiply them.

God made us a perfectly good world and He expects us to be good users of it…to take good care of it….to improve it, to make it better.

I think it disturbs the heart of God when we trash what He’s given us, whether it’s our body, our family, our homes and yards or places we go.

We’re in a warfare folks; a warfare with ourselves!

Can we decide we’re going to choose to do good… or do we want to side in with the opposition—looking for troubles, complaining and being unthankful? There are people out there who need us, they need our encouragement, they need our good ideas, they need life, they need freedom, they need compassion, concern and care. They need our help to find their way.

Who are we to hold back what we have from contributing to our world according to our unique and individual giftings?

I think we need to rouse ourselves out of this lethargy and say to ourselves–seek within ourselves–what do I have to bring to the table to help whatever situation I am in….as a people trying to live together in this, our world?

Today, I will do one good deed, think one good thought about myself.

Today, I will do one good deed, think one good thought about someone else.

Today, I will plan for tomorrow to do one good deed, think one good thought…..and then repeat.
