My Stack

There is a stack of post-it notes by my laptop. It has been there for years…not the same papers in the pile, but the stack is still there.

Every day new thoughts emerge to share with my readers. Who knows where to start? So I jot them down …most of the time…so they aren’t forgotten and soon there are so many!

Today I begin again: (This came to me while I was making applesauce)

Read You Own Book!  (This is today’s post)

Your book is you. There are many chapters to your book. Which one are you on now? Which chapters have passed? Which chapters are you still living or trying to live in?

Books are written successively. One chapter leads to the next. We don’t write backwards. We write always moving forward because life moves forward. It is not to become stagnant.

Do not put your book – your life – back on some dusty old shelf not to be seen or read by anyone. Keep it open – the pages turning- writing new and better chapters of your explorations and points of interest. Make sure your book is as interesting as possible so you will want to keep writing. Others will see what you’ve written and want to read it, and you will want to remember how and what you did.

Keep working on your book. Keep working on you. Everyday our life is published somewhere.

What If I Wanted to Know…

What if I wanted to know but no one told me?

What if I wanted to know how to read, but no one taught me?

What if I wanted to know about cooking and finding good food, but no one showed me.

What if I wanted to know about exercise and working out, but no one would coach me.

This list could go on and on. Think of all the years wasted when helpful development could be happening in formative years.

What if I wanted to know but no one told me? … about God…

What if someone could have told me when I was growing up there is a God, not a religious god, but one who is real, the one who really did make the universe and all it contains, (including me), who sees everything and is watchful over me, who loves me, is truly interested in everything I do and think, who wants to remove all my guilt and shame, provide for my needs, make me brand new in my mind – free of worry and fear. Who wants me to understand how to do life on this earth, who wants me to grow up clean with no guilt-ridden past holding me hostage, who wants me to have meaningful relationships and even a family???

What if someone had told me, because I really wanted to know, but…

Where could I have been today?

Do not despair. God is still alive and knows just where you are. His name is Jesus and He wants you to be part of his family.

Talk to Him about you. He will talk to you about Him.

Stuck!

Don’t allow yourself to remain stuck thinking…

‘I don’t know about…or how to…’   You’re holding yourself back.

Part of the purpose in life is to grow and develop what we like, who we are and begin to share and help people. It’s so fulfilling to be on a path talking with others about newly attained interests.

So, what interests you? What do you want to know more about?

  • Different sizes of bird eggs and why?
  • Sunset times across the globe.
  • Which plants do better in the sun or shade.
  • Why linen is more sustainable and easier to grow than cotton.
  • Where can I collect rocks?
  • How do I mix a batch of concrete?
  • How to start a campfire?
  • How can I make bread?

Pick an area and begin to inquire more about it. talk to people, read online or at the library. Anything to get you moving again.

One of the best things is to go outside, get some fresh air, take a walk and let your mind be free to look at what is there and what you already have.

Let’s get ourselves unstuck so we can move freely in life.

We really can!
