Good and Counterfeit Money

Back in the day when only cash was used…

Bank tellers were trained in a very simple manner – learn what the real money looks, feels, and smells like and you’ll recognize counterfeit immediately.

This simple method works in many other areas.

Take a bite and chew the sweetness of an organic apple. Yum! Bite into a pesticide sprayed apple and experience the bitter taste on the skin. You’ll see.

Eat a slice of homemade cake using your own flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. True flavor! Premade and box mixes have the customary smell and bitter flavor of the BHA and BHTs added for preservation.

Real vanilla extract does not smell or taste like imitation vanilla flavoring.

Tempered solid steel tools, nuts, bolts and screws won’t break into pieces or lose their shape when the craftsman uses them. Imitation metals will and can be dangerous to use.

Even ideologies, philosophies, religions need to come under the counterfeit test…the test of histories past, civilizations won and lost, good and bad outcomes.

We are responsible to train ourselves to recognize right vs wrong, good vs. bad, healthy vs unhealthy. This comes through reading and learning from the past, studying and observation of events and peoples today, and thinking through what the future might look like depending on which is chosen.

We have been given a good brain. Let’s train it, use it, keep it sharp!

Decide not to let others do your thinking. Teach yourself. Learn. With practice, we will come to recognize good intentions and bad intentions even within ourselves.

Grow and see how much good you really do have to offer.

It’s there!

Don’t Give Away Your Power!

How many times have I let somebody else make my decisions for me. I gave them my power!

I have done it time and time again, and hopefully I have ‘learnt my lesson’ and can help you.

For me, too often I didn’t think I was capable of figuring something out, or ‘needed’ help, or didn’t take the initiative, or was (lazy) and thought I’d just leave it up to somebody else!

Yes, it takes work, mental energy to make decisions. There might be some research you have to do. Might have to learn something new. Might have to start something new. Might have to turn away from something old. Might have to give something up.

But if you get busy doing your ‘homework’ your mental strength muscles will develop and your very own personal power – given to you – will grow and grow stronger. You’ll begin to notice changes in your outlook on life. The gray areas will start to disappear, and you’ll see more clearly what needs to be done or changed or added to.

Yes, there is power out there. It’s kind of like a vacuum. If you don’t claim your power someone else will take it from you … (by default you gave it to them).

Hold on to what is rightfully yours! and like we talked about yesterday…stand!

Take your responsibility – part of your reclaiming your power – and use it! Claim it! Be thankful for it! Do all you can with it, and you will be given more to help others.

Stand in your own power!

STAND!

Delete, Repeat

Delete what’s not working for you.

Today I wore a shirt that doesn’t look good on me–truthfully I don’t like it, and when I bought it I knew the color didn’t do anything for me, but it was on sale…and I have since paid over and above for it. Twice I have started to give it away, but pulled it back– since it was ‘good’ and I got a bargain.

But I don’t feel my best, most comfortable, confident self when I wear it.

It’s going in the Goodwill bag tonight, I told myself! (along with a few other things in the closet—bought under the same guise!)

Why do I do this to myself? When am I going to learn???

Delete, repeat.

There are some things in our lives, physical, mental, or emotional that are a hindrance to being our best selves. Either they sap our energy, rob our confidence and courage, or just plain waste our space and time!

Enough is enough!!!

It begins today…going through my ‘stuff’ little by little deleting and repeating, until it feels right hanging on to what I have.

Do you need to delete something from your life too?
