Be Like a Magnet

Draw out the good in others.

A magnet can merely pass by something with iron in it and the iron particles will be drawn towards it.

Remember the kids whisker-face man toy? Iron filings underneath the clear plastic turned into whiskers and beards when you drew the magnetic pencil across his face. It all depended on where you held the magnet.

Many people have good inside them waiting to come out but there are other things… cares of life, sickness, job and family issues covering up and they’re down a lot.

Be a magnet for good, and when you encounter them use a happy voice, a cheery smile, a positive comment, and see if you can help pull their good up to the surface in their life so they can take a fresh look on things….even if only for a moment. It will be like a seed and perhaps begin to grow as other people go by with their magnets for good.

Some will be repelled by your good, or the particles of good may not come to the surface by your magnet, but don’t give up. There is a lot of good in the world and we need to bring it out.

Where am I going to draw my magnet today?

Could I turn whiskers into a smile?

Life’s Words

I want my life’s words…

… to encourage people to what they can become

…to be a source of empowerment for them to see change

…to offer hope in their life for better

…to help them see their God-given worth

I don’t want my life’s words taking on a condemnatory role offering shame, pain or guilt for all the should’ve, could’ve or didn’t dos.

I will watch my words carefully so my life only speaks life to others.

Overcome Evil with Good

Why? How does that do anything? Evil needs to be punished, people say.

God is the rewarder of good and evil. We each have God’s law written in our heart, so we automatically know right from wrong.

Choose good, it will make you feel better.

Good promotes good. Bad promotes bad.

Decide which you will do. What is best for you, your family, your neighbor, your community, your country.

It all starts with you. You pass on what you know, you share it with others.

What are you sharing? What we do multiplies into more good or more bad. and we always are sharing something…a thought a word, a deed, an attitude.

You share you, wherever you are! Even if you are only sharing you with you!!!

What you share multiplies! Remember the Friendship Bread recipe? The more you mixed it up and divided it, the more it grew…(It almost turned into a monstrosity and people got tired of it! )

God, help me think about what I’m sharing, help me respond in a way that ultimately brings good out of a bad situation.
