No Hope

How many of us quit moving forward because of no hope?

‘It’s over. Nothing is working. I’ve missed another Monday. Tomorrow won’t be any different. It’s bigger than I am. Why try?’ and on and on and on and on and on…..

There is always hope. It’s often we can’t see it, so we say all of the above.

Begin by thinking backwards – to a time you hoped for something, and it happened. “Well, that was back then”… but back then it was ‘now’, so what’s the difference? You believed it could maybe happen. You had a hope. So you did something about it and it happened. Same thing can happen again.

Hope is only a decision. A small decision, a nod towards what you want. The light in the distance. The clearing in the forest. It is a decision things can become better.

After you decide then you will begin to do. You may not know what or where to start but just begin. Your hope will pull you forward leading you. The scenery of your life will look different. You will see new things and new ideas will come to mind. Your life will appear fresh and free again. Hope will grow and so will you.

Anytime you lose hope, decide to move forward anyway. The picture will change as you move from despair. It will be behind you – a thing of the past. You have better things to do.

Test Your Work

Why? Why test my work? Are you saying there might be something wrong or inferior about it?

This is a necessary part for all good work and craftsmen of all categories. We want to know what we made works and is enduring. We want to know it will be a delight in the hands of the receiver. They will appreciate it. It will work for them as was intended.

So, there’s no judgment here other than self-judgement, and that is our right as the creator to take apart and examine closely, remake or reword what we’ve made so it meets our satisfaction! We are testing our work! Will it stand?

All things made by us humans are subject to the learning curve. The idea strikes us. We plan, design, draw, make, produce and there we have it! ‘How do you like it?’ we ask. Then come suggestions – ours or others – how to improve it or redesign it completely. This way, we’re always building something, always thinking better thoughts, learning from the thoughts of others. The cycle continues from one idea to the next and progress is made, and people are helped.

Do you test your work? Are you subject to your own scrutiny? Will you allow the scrutiny of others? You will be the final judge of your work. So, what you say about it matters most.

Do your good work, do your best work and then test it. Do you like it? Then send it out, give it away, sell it, whatever you decide to do, but do your good work!

Our world needs you!

What am I good at? What do I like to do?

Decide to Change

It’s that simple. Just say yes to your wish to change. You only have 2 choices…yes or no, so why not pick yes?

Yes just sounds friendlier and more freeing. The main thing about choosing yes is that involves moving forward — effort saying yes again and again to change.

No is so easy, anyone can say that…just say no and stay the same…same pain, same trials, same mistakes, same places, same friends…safe, but going nowhere.

So just say yes to your heart’s desire to change — stick one foot out and follow up with your other foot — see you’re already two steps ahead!

Now keep moving. You can do it.

You owe it to yourself and your family.

Where can I start today?

I will move one foot forward today.
