Seasons Change!

I love living in the Midwest!

The seasons change every 3 months and something else happens.

No monotony here! I’m ready to finish out summer, as much as I like it, and move into a new fall, new decoration around home, new mums on the porch, pretty leaves on the trees, thick green grass again…

Our lives have seasons too, as in ‘this too shall pass’. Life is not to be drudgery, that’s not the definition of life! Life is growth, change, new beginnings, working through things, hoping for better, helping others through their ‘this too shall passes”

If we can keep the momentum, the looking ahead to what lies ahead, knowing we do have power over our lives to improve, change and move forward…always planning for the next thing to do, not staying stuck in the ‘this is the way it’s always been’ , we will enjoy the season we are currently in, knowing things will change.

If we think about a hill, the valley is actually very small compared to the hill…the hill is composed of the climb up, cross over the top and down the other side…all still part of the ‘hill-top’ experience.

I believe God gave us the happy, joy, peace to tap into far more than the sad, sorrowful, depressed parts of life.

He told us to choose life and that is my choice.

Sometimes I have to choose it many many times in the same day.

Will you choose life with me? Right now?

Let’s start a new season of life together, a better one!

America!

America is great because God made her great…..because we made God great!

Throughout the centuries, any time a people, or a person or a nation has honored, credited God for his presence and help, God in turn has helped and honored them.

As they take a step towards him, he will take two steps towards them. That’s the kind of God he is, always there, ready to help and looking ahead of us. While we’re stumbling along he is already there with the help and the solution.

In spite of the doomsday-sayers, there is great hope for any nation, any people, any person who will simply say, “Help me, God!”

People think of God as a get-even, mean, pay-you-back for what you deserve type God, but that is religion’s god, not the real God.

God is for us, for his creation and for all the peoples that he made, who live all over the globe. He is not a God of destruction, rather a God of creation, creating good in everything he does…and that is his intention for us and for our work, lives, families.

Can we do it?

Absolutely yes!

It starts with a change of mind…what is one good thing I can do today, what is one good think I can do right now?

What is one teeny-tiny step in the right direction I could take today to make better something I’ve noticed?

We people tend to be followers; what if we cause people to follow us in the right direction….what if we all banded together in our communities, put aside our differences, rolled up our sleeves and helped one another?

We would experience change!

Now GO! Change your day! Change your neighborhood! Change your life!

Land of the Free – Home of the Brave!

Often when we hear these words, we think about war and fighting with weapons for freedom.

Yet freedom of speech and the war about words was really what started it all. Human beings want/need to be heard, have an input, see worth in what they want to bring into life.

I think it’s an act of bravery to speak up for yourself in any area of life today…so much concern about political correctness, what would G’ma think, what will the neighbors say …’if I said that!’?

We talk about the status quo, but if we don’t challenge it by speaking out against it for change and improvement, that’s not brave and it won’t help our freedom.

I’m not talking about rebellion and anarchy just for the sake or proving someone wrong or fighting authority. I’m talking about challenging ideas and methodologies we’ve been ingrained with that are no longer serving us. They are extracting from us, rather than adding to us.

That takes bravery/courage to speak up and begin to question– so things might be rethought –and necessary reforms take place.

Just because, ‘this is the way we’ve always done it’ or ‘this is the way we’ve always thought’, doesn’t mean it is working for us now.

Use your freedom!

Don’t be afraid to think constructive thoughts how things, activities, processes, relationships, organization and organizations can be changed to work better, smoother, more efficiently, effectvely.

Learn to enjoy the freedom of thinking, and talk with others about it.

Be brave, start now!
