Your Idea

Ideas! Ideas! Ideas! We all have ideas. They’re like little brainstorms happening inside our heads!

Some are mere passing rain clouds while others just might have something to them. Examine the passing clouds and see if their waters hold any weight! Yours might be the next helpful idea to get you through. Or maybe it’s for your company or family situation that will move you forward.

I have many, many ideas about so many things and sometimes voicing them as ‘some crazy idea of mine’…yet is it always crazy? Maybe it was just what I needed!!!

‘Nah, they won’t be interested. That wouldn’t work. It’s too far out! How could I do that? Could it really happen?’…and we discredit the idea rather than think about it more… Another good idea thrown to the wind!

Everything done and made began as somebody’s ‘big idea’.

Like what???

  • Every painting you see
  • Every house built
  • Every sink or stove or washing machine or blender or coffee pot!
  • Every wallpaper, piece of fabric, paint color
  • Every loaf of bread, spaghetti, or sauce
  • Even the different types of plants and flowers that were crossbred to make a different color

You name it, somebody made it! But it began with their idea first!

Think again. You’ve got a life full of creations if you begin with your good ideas and carry through.

Don’t hold yourself back. Just get started and keep moving!

Now, about that idea I was thinking…

Encouragement

To give courage is a good way of saying it.

This day and age we all need to be encouraged, and each of us need to be encouragers. We’re all fighting battles, mental, emotional, physical, spiritual and some days the battle seems a bit more intense. Some courage – even if borrowed from another – would be helpful.

Courage is transferable, just like dis-courage is transferable. Why not belong to the encouragement group of helping, lifting up, building up, holding up. The dis-courage group is seen everywhere…knock down, tear down, close down, telling them why it can’t be done…foolish, stupid, etc. etc. etc.  Is our inner networking built up by encouraging others or by knocking somebody down to go higher?

I believe the majority belong to the encouragement bunch who want to see good, be good and do good. But the dis-couragement bunch tries to prevent it. Sometimes that dis-couragement ‘bunch’ resides inside our own head! We have to root those thoughts out!

In the long run, good will overcome evil, but no sense in causing more suffering along the way by participating in the ‘dis-courage bunch’.

Today, let’s rise higher, think nobler, be better, build more, encourage more and see the difference. It may only be noticeable in you or to you. But all good things start with a single step. You start and take the first step.

Today, I will…:)

Who Can I Be Good to Today?

The war is on! Is it really people against people? Or is it good vs evil?

We, all of us peoples all over the world today and everyday make choices, have choices to make. We personally can and are responsible for the choices we make…whether to further good or to side with evil. We have to be discriminating how we watch, listen and respond. Will what I ingest through my eyes, ears and doings be a good choice for me, my family and my fellow man?

We can simplify our lives greatly if we live by the principle of being and doing good.

There is so much alarmism in the news, trying to gain a foothold in our minds. Then all we think about is trouble and how to get even, retaliate, hate and worry. The downward spiral leads to loss of hope, despair and often hiding.

And while we’re in ‘neutral’ – fearing, hating, worrying, hiding – nothing good is being accomplished. It takes effort – strength -physical and mental – to do something good when evil is happening. If all we do is watch others tear things down with words and actions, who will be the builders–many times not only building, but rebuilding, cleaning up after others’ messes. That is just the way life operates.

Someone is always watching us. Are we giving them an excuse to continue in bad ways, or will they see a reason to change and help others by doing good?

Your ‘good’ might only need to be a smile, a helping hand, a word of encouragement, a cup of coffee, a ride to work, opening the door, sweeping the sidewalk, but it will multiply.

Who can I show good to today?
