Lead the Way!

One of my daughters hung a beautiful fall wreath on her door. Shortly after that she noticed all her neighbors hung up fall wreaths or set doormats in front of their places.

She was a ‘leader’ if you will, in getting something pretty started in the neighborhood.

Others often only need an incentive and you might be the one to provide it.

Think today, ‘What can I do to inspire someone else?’

Out Your Window

In a classic gardening magazine, a lady wrote how she wanted every window in her home to look out onto a beautiful garden.

I agree. Be it big or small, we need a spot of color and beauty put there on purpose to brighten us up.

‘But my window faces a parking lot’ (or an alley, or maybe you don’t have a window) In that case get a small potted plant or just pick some greens and a flower or branch and place where you can see some real-live greenery etc. to bring rest to your eyes.

If you do have the ability to plant even a pot of color (fake will do in the winter months 🙂 ) do it for your own benefit. It’s a form of self-care. We all need it! Who knows, maybe it will brighten a passerby-er’s life on their way to somewhere.

Go now and look out your windows. What do you see? What would you like to see? What could you see?

What can you do to brighten your life a tiny bit more?

Fresh Start

Sometimes we just need to look again…see things with a new eye, a fresh perspective, from a different point of view.

We’re all going through things, so really we’re all in it together, this game of life. At times things can become a little stale, uninteresting, same ole, same ole. Time to get out your new glasses and start off on a new trail. See some new views, discover something you haven’t seen before, pick out a new hobby, find a new friend, get a new book, head to the library and read about somebody else’s life and conquests.

Today, head out for a coffee, from a different place, and begin looking and thinking towards something new.

Just start!
