Pass Around the Good!

Pass it all around! There’s plenty of it!

We are living in exciting times! Many, many are starting new careers, making new things, providing new services. They are thinking on their own about their next move…no longer living a robotic work life of monotony.

Join the new crowd searching out the up and coming small businesses, the eateries, bagel shops, bread shops, coffee shops, the locals as well as online creative sellers, artists, makers and doers.

We need them! They are working many hours at their craft hoping what they provide will be good for someone else…and it is!

There is new life, enthusiasm, determination in maker, seller, and buyer!

Let’s step in and be a maker, or a seller, or a buyer and pass around some good.

Today let’s look at a new maker…a bagel maker and see his story.  We have eaten some of his ‘work’ and it is delicious! He started selling out of his car’s trunk since he didn’t have a ‘real’ store. People went crazy over his creations. Now he has his own store and helps sell other’s creative works as well.  https://www.instagram.com/p/CiQ4VFqrdy4/?hl=en

Improve One Thing Today

Decide today, wherever you ‘land’…at work, at home, taking a walk, setting the supper table…even if you live under the bridge to improve one thing today.

Do it now!

Decide to make it more livable, more enjoyable, more beautiful, function better, cleaner…

  • Make your bed
  • Add flowers to your work space
  • Try a new recipe, new food, new ingredient
  • Pick up trash in your yard and street
  • Organize the junk drawer
  • Get out grandma’s china and set the table
  • Vacuum the furniture
  • Wash something clean!

These are all practical things that seem not to amount to much….but the exercise will be good for you, and your mind will feel better.

We are moving forward in our lives…sometimes only little by little, but small steps get us to the same place as large ones…just keep going.

You will begin to see change!

We Can Help…

In a checkout line the other day,  a young child was crying and crying. The man in front said aloud, “No child should be allowed to cry that long.”

It was 1:30pm, so I said, “It’s probably nap time, or they’re hungry.” (or maybe tired of being in the stroller while mommy shopped.) He didn’t say anything.

Then the lady in front of him said something about the child crying, and I heard the man tell her the child was probably tired or hungry.

I felt what I said helped him ‘re-see’ the situation from a more gracious viewpoint, and he in turn passed it on. Who knows, perhaps when he grew up he was told – ‘kids should only be seen, not heard’ or some other rendition. Sometimes, too often, we develop automatic bad thinking and begin to parrot what we’ve seen or heard without examining the truth of it.

On our part, we can help change another’s negative perspective by introducing a positive prospective.

Simply changing the perspective changed the whole atmosphere from one individual to the next.

Let’s pass it on!
