The Movement

Chances are, you are already a part…a part of what might be one of the greatest movements in history.

I see it all around. Many people are talking about it. Others are taking notice and joining in. It has been going on for a number of years already, but is now coming to the forefront.

The movement is a quest, a return to our original design, our original humanity, our original purpose.

Human beings are no longer interested in being a mere replaceable cog in some else’s wheel. They are beginning to see and know there is more to their life than that. They are more than a time-clock puncher, more than a desk-chair sitter. They have value, worth, ideas, personal character, talents, skills, knowledge, heart and desire to be better, to do better, to live better. They want to create something with their stamp on it!

All these ‘theys‘ are you and I.

Together we are striving to silence the thoughts and words telling us we can’t do anything different, that things will always be the same, that nothing will ever change, we’re not smart enough, we don’t have enough this, that or the other to do what we really would like to do.

Individually, yet together, we are moving forward with those ahead.

These have a mind of their own and a life of their own, yet they work together, as individuals, yet as a unit, because what one provides the other needs. It is a community where no one person can do it all, they rely on each other while taking full responsibility to their own work.

There is no leader, each sets his own pace. The desire to become more propels them forward… their zeal fueling others.

Inspiration, individuality, originality are keys to their work. Their craft is one of a kind, with their imprint on it.

Are you in?

P.S. I wrote this post over 2 years ago. Sometimes things get written… put aside for one reason or another…anyway, here it is.

A Word About…

The ‘not-so-good’…

In our world there will always be the ‘not so good’…jobs, people, decisions, rules, laws, governments. There will be just plain badness and evil if you will.

This will try to throw us off track, mire us down, consume our thoughts, cause us to make wrong decisions or just plain hermitize ourselves to avoid it. ‘Badness’ likes us to become this way as it attempts to overthrow our good efforts/works. We cannot let it win in our personal lives. We are stronger, although it may not feel like it, and it will be a real battle at times.

How do we change bad to good?

  • Be an example of good
  • Use proper channels within organizations
  • Make your vote count
  • Continue to do what is good
  • Don’t waste time trying to change someone’s mind or manners
  • Walk away from those refusing what good you have to say/or bring, and don’t take it personally
  • Keep moving forward!

Your Discovery Process

Start with one plant.

Learn about it, nurture it, watch it grow, maybe it flounders.

Don’t give up or think you failed.

Get another plant and begin again.

It’s the process of life–learning how to care for things–how to care for yourself.

You might discover the plant grows better in a different window with more or less light. It might do better with watering only once a week and not every other day. Maybe it would be better grouped with another plant to share humidity.

The same with you–learn about yourself, observe yourself. What do you like. Where do you feel you do best. What time of day do you have your best thoughts, do your best work? What colors make you feel great when you wear them? What patterns or styles are you drawn to? What type books, movies, videos make you feel best about yourself? What type of work do you like doing best?

Thinking about and answering questions like these are indicators of how you are made, gifted, function and work best.

Truly one size does not fit all.

Find you, be you, do you.

Be comfortable with you.
