Hold That Line!

Don’t give up ground you’ve already won!

Many people don’t like strong people. Why? It makes weaker people feel even weaker.

We’re not talking about people who seek to control or dominate other people with their agenda, forcing them to do what they want to make happen.

We’re talking about you being strong in what you believe and where you want your life to head – which direction you want to go – which decisions you’d like to make (on your own) – how you want to decorate your home, what type of work you do, what you like to wear, what hobbies you have, even what you want to read and talk about!

You have gained ground, taken back your life in certain areas and that alarms some people. You’re not who you used to be, or you’re not who they want you to be, and they’re afraid and try to make you (convince you) that you’re doing the wrong thing. You are gaining momentum and others feel it. It makes them uncomfortable because perhaps they’re stuck – going nowhere – and they want you to stay back with them. (A feeling of false safety)

BUT!!! You have made up your mind to be a different better person, who does different and better things, who travels to new unexplored places, who  likes trying new foods, colors, hobbies, thoughts. YOU have taken on new ground!

Do not give up your ground. Especially while it is still fresh and undeveloped!

Do not give in or give up, not even one inch for one second. You are moving forward, you are the leader in your life now. Sometimes leaders don’t have any followers, but they are still leaders, out in front, paving the way for future followers, taking new ground, seeing new sights, breathing fresher air.

HOLD THAT LINE!!!

Begin Again

How many times do we have to begin again? …Any time we want or need to begin again.

Nothing wrong with beginning again. Take the eraser to the board, wipe everything out and start over! Maybe you’ve gotten a fresh perspective on something. Maybe you’re tired of the old. It’s no longer working. Maybe you want to shake things up a bit. Sounds like time to begin again!

‘But I thought it was perfect. I wanted it to be just right so I’d never have to start over. I feel like a failure’, you may say.

Recognize perfection is an ideal – not reality. Things can always be improved and worked on. It isn’t failure if your plans didn’t ‘go as planned’. It is a stepping stone to another approach, another idea.

Remember the saying, “Ford has a better idea!” At the time all their cars were only black.  They said you could have your car in any color as long as it was black! Then other colors came on the scene; they began again, and the rest is history.

It does not hurt to begin again. Where would you like to begin again?

Let You Out!

“No! I’m afraid you might see me. I’m afraid I might see me. What if nobody likes me? What if I don’t like me?”

The only way to know how to deal with ourselves is to take a look. It’s scary sometimes. We’ve been hidden in the false ‘shroud of safety’ but miserable all the while. Plugged up, bottled up, getting stagnant.

Our water – what we bring to the table to help others – our life – needs to be unstopped. I saw an Instagram channel about drains Unclogged drains. It was fascinating watching as a drain pipe, gutter or canal was unclogged – all the silt and sticks came pouring out and soon the water could flow freely. Some of these pipes had been clogged for years, yet they were able to be opened up and used again to benefit the town, the farmer, the community, the family.

Let’s examine what’s holding us back and let the goodness flow out and water those around us. Be a free flowing channel.

Chances are you have something somebody else needs.

Don’t hold back what your have; let yourself out!
