Today is a brand new day! A brand new month! We’ve never seen it before!

• How would I like to see it begin?
• How would I like to see it end?
• What is one thing I would like to do this month?
• How can I start?
• Do I need another’s help to get started?
• How can I become more loyal to myself?
• How can I grow stronger?
• How can I make myself better this month?
• How can I help someone else be better this month?
• Change begins with me, in me, and at my house.
• I will pick and begin with one thing today.

Tomorrow I will pick up where I left off today, and keep moving forward.

“I mean, who really cares?” !!! “They don’t care so I don’t care!”

But is that really true?

Deep inside, I think we all do care about right and wrong, good and evil, treating people right and treating people wrong…

We want (maybe expect) to be treated well but aren’t, so we do the ‘even-Stephen’ thing and end up returning evil for evil 😦

The only way out of this trap is to return good for evil. “They don’t deserve it!!” “I already gave them a chance and they lost it!” “Everybody acts like that!” “People never change!”…..and so nothing changes because we didn’t 😦

Change has to begin somewhere. We can’t change others. I can’t change you-  you can’t change me. But if I change myself – or at least begin to work at it, somebody along the way will notice. It will begin to work on them too.

As we begin to offer a hand or word of help to others. they will pass it on and change happens in that moment. Take your neighbor a fresh loaf of sourdough or some fresh flowers. Who cares if you don’t know them! Knock on the door, tell them who you are, speak to them saying, ” I thought you might like this, nice to meet you.” and head back home. Simple as that.

What a reaction that might be!

God said!

He said He would not leave us helpless. No matter what is going on in the world, our jobs, our families, negative news about food shortages, bank collapses, no coal or oil, polluted waters and bad air to breathe…

God said He did not leave us helpless. He would provide for our every need if we go to Him and ask. Jesus said He’d send us a Helper Who would lead us, guide us and remind us of all God’s promises of provision and protection.

God is supernatural – something everyone in the universe is looking for – supernatural help!

He said He wouldn’t leave us on our own or turn away from us like an irresponsible father might.

He said we can ask Him for whatever we need and He will give it to us. I think that means if we need fresh clean water, He will provide it. If we need fresh air to breathe, He will purify what air we have so it will not harm us. If we need food to eat, He will give us real God made food to eat and nourish our bodies that He designed and made.

He will provide for us financially and we will have a place to live. He will help us figure out what we need to do and He will make it happen. How? I don’t know, but He will. Each need is different, but He’s a big God and He is all for us.
