One for One

I am for you! That’s an example of one for one.

All  it takes is for one person to speak something good into another person’s life –  to believe in their personhood – to change them and propel them on to be/do great things.

We all have weak areas and insecurities, especially in our growing up years and into the turbulent teens; however it only takes one teacher, one parent, one good friend, one sibling, aunt or uncle to say to us, “You are really good at reasoning things out;  you can remember things easily; you handle yourself well  in speech class; you seem  to understand math or mechanics really well; your drawings are so clear; you are so good growing plants; everything you bake/cook tastes good!”

When tough times and doubts arise, we can recall what was said about us and think, ‘Yeah, but I’m pretty good at this, it doesn’t matter what others say, I know I’m going to be okay. I have good ideas…just wait and see!”

Those seemingly small one to one conversations, putting in and pulling out of us greater than we thought or imagined kept us moving forward.

Where can you have a small ‘one-for-one’ of importance with a young person today?

The Master Mechanic

The best mechanic is the one who designed the product.

Other mechanics need to be trained at various schools, but even then they can misdiagnose, (although quite certain they are correct at the time), no matter how much training they’ve had or how ‘state-of-the-art’ their diagnostic electronics are.

So why do we keep going to those who don’t know/understand how we’re made for help with our problems. They try to help, but often don’t have the manual or fully understand the nature of the problem, no matter how well meaning they are.

We need to go to the one who designed us, who knows how to fix us. And yes he uses people like us to help, but first it will be most helpful if we go the the master mechanic who designed and made us to begin with. He will lead and guide us to the correct diagnosis for our problem.

No waiting line and no appointment necessary. No insurance money needed either.

Life to Your Life!

God wants you to live and express life in every area of your life!

God is a God of life; a God of increase and multiplication. If what you’re doing is not causing increase and multiplication of life, then maybe you’re not doing God’s best for you.

Give yourself a little test.

As you go about your daily life, take a look at everything you do, everything you think, everything you put into your mouth and everything that comes out of your mouth…even the places you go, what you watch and listen to, what you are building, what you are designing and making…is it bringing more… causing more life? We are all petri dishes growing something. (whatever lands in it and is allowed to grow) Is what I am doing, thinking, saying a growing place, a proving ground for life? Am I increasing the better things in my life?

These are hard questions to ask ourselves. It’s good to ask them in the privacy of our own mind where we can mull them over and begin to cause change for the better. That way we can be sure of ourselves and our direction – before outside thoughts and words can make an imprint onto our being.

Sometimes we’re on auto-pilot in our daily doings and don’t pause to contemplate how what we’re doing impacts us and others, or if it’s even needful anymore.

Determine today to go from life to life within your very own life 🙂
