Social Media

Everything has its pros and cons…strengths and weaknesses. We’re back to focus again. What will we focus on today?

There are good trees, and bad trees, good fruit and bad fruit, flowers vs weeds, gentle rains vs hurricanes, jobs well done, jobs poorly done.

Everything is out there. The choice is up to us what we choose to do, to like, to watch, listen, approve, disapprove, or even pay any attention to at all!

Social media is like a giant smorgasbord! Lots to look at or pass by. You can take it all in and get fat depending on what you ingest, or you can use the ‘moderation and variety’ method that mom taught us when eating daily foods.

I find it fascinating (although this can become time consuming) to discover what good things so many wonderful people are doing, starting, making, show-and-telling all across the globe!! So many people are sharing their daily lives giving hope to others in all categories of life.

Let’s keep it up! Reporting, posting, sharing, encouraging whoever is watching our ‘channel’ to bring out the best in themselves.

Edit out the negative doom and gloom. Paste in the uplifting, good and helpful…in masse!!!

Good will win! (And so will you!)

Prove It!

Prove it to yourself that you are able to do it.

Back in the teenage years, when we were learning things, we wanted to do our very best – just to prove to the adults in our life that we were grown-up. And we knew how to do it (whatever we were learning). We did this learning how to drive and park a car,  learning how to paint a door’s threshold, how to mow the grass, how to bake…whatever it was, we wanted to prove it that we could do it and we were capable.

We need to re-examine this today for ourselves, and our youth. We need to prove…have the ‘prove it’ mentality that ‘I can do it’! I can do hard things, I can learn this new skill, I am perfectly capable if I just get started.

This does two major things.

  1. It gives us a certain amount of stick-to-it-iveness where we stick to something long enough to learn how to grasp the concept.
  2. We prove to ourselves we could do it…because we did!

What is something I need to prove to myself today I can do?

Ideas and Things

Every single thing was an idea first!

“If you can draw it on paper you can make it”, said Mrs. Wright to her sons the Wright brothers as they were trying to figure out how to make a plane fly – over a century ago.  They drew it and then they flew it!

The same principle is true today. Let’s all work more earnestly to take our ideas, write them down, plan them out and turn them into some – thing –  that will advance our situations. Why not?!!! What have you got to lose? Nothing ventured nothing gained!

This world needs all good ideas to get formulated into good things. People need so much help. We have got to work hard overcoming the suppression of good caused by the elevation of evil, and the only way that will happen is to push it out and replace it with something good!

Sounds crazy, but that’s the way it works. We replace bad ideas with good ideas, thereby replacing bad things with good things.

‘Aw lady, you’re talking crazy ‘pie in the sky’ stuff again, that isn’t the way it works!’  ‘Well, in the first place have you tried it? Most people have not. They have fallen into the evil for evil mindset, never  attempting to replace evil with good.’

I think if we all really began to daily concentrate good in our thoughts, our words and deeds, the reverberations across the globe could be catastrophic!

The dark voice of the loud vocal minority is just that – loud. It has no power unless we listen to it. Turn your ear and eye away. Don’t feed it and it will not affect you!

We don’t have time to tune in to that station. There is so much good to be accomplished. Why waste valuable time listening to (in a sense honoring) all the negative voices. Use your energy in a more productive way.

Decide today to use your time. Take your idea and make some thing good come of it and spread it around. You’ll find more will be needed.
