Precious America

God has blessed us because we have allowed Him to direct us.

As long as we put Him first, He will put us first. He has used our nation to do so much good for our world bringing life, help and provision, protection and deliverance to other countries and other peoples.

Let’s keep our moral compass strong, so we have the strength to continue doing good, thinking good, making good that we don’t become a needy people, but instead we can provide for the needs of others. Let us not become dependent on other nations. God said if we follow Him He will lead and provide for us.

There is no shame in having an abundance. Everyone who doesn’t have  anything wishes they did. How else will we have enough to share and give to others? There is a misnomer attempt trying to convince people that is is wrong to have abundance, that it is wrong to have many children, that it is wrong to have land and cattle, sheep and chickens. Yet these things are all promised for the meeting of our needs by God to those who acknowledge Him.

I urge you to question every voice you hear (there are many striving for attention to lead you down their path). We can’t help it who we were born. We can’t help it if we were born into a rich family or poor. If a man is born white or black, he cannot help that. If he has been successful and has a nice house, belongings and money, there’s nothing wrong with that either.

The issue seems to be the heart. Just because he has wealth it is not a wrong. There are jealous voices accusing others of what they themselves wish they had, but rather than doing the hard work they point fingers trying to pull others down.

This is an age old trick used for centuries, but we must be wise and not listen to those voices. There is plenty for everyone. God wills to provide for His creation. He will provide for your needs too.

Continue to be your best and to do your best.

John Wesley said it, “Earn all you can, save all you can, and give all you can.”

Purpose

What is my purpose??? … the question of the day for some time.

Basically, we were put here to help others – while we grow and enjoy our lives on planet Earth. ‘That’s way too simple!!!, I want to know my real purpose…what I am supposed to think, say, do!”

We have a lot of freedom in the previous paragraph. There is no rule book saying, ‘Everyone with brown hair, 5 ‘tall do this. The red hair people living over here do that. Black hair people will think this…’

We all have different likes, tastes, desires, voices, personalities…all for a very good reason! There are other humans similar to us who need or could benefit from what we know, have been through or learned. We can help them. We can be a path-maker, a guide for those following afterward.

Why should everyone have to learn everything from scratch by themselves. If I can help make your life a little better by sharing some of mine, then I want to do that. That is called progress.

Lack of purpose = lack of progress = the doldrums, fear and withdrawal. (‘I’m just not good enough, don’t know what to do, can’t figure my life out…poor me.’)  However!!! …we’re all live human beings, all having needs, wants and desires…all with similar feelings. Even the strongest in appearance have weaknesses we can’t see, or they won’t say.

How do you know that what in your opinion is a tiny little ‘nothing important’ (through your limited eyesight) might be the word of encouragement, the hand of help they needed, and if you withheld it they might falter or fall.

Your (my) purpose is to use our skills, ways and means in whatever way we are able to help other human beings become their best. While we are helping others we will become better.

Part of my purpose is to help others see their value and importance…to come out into full view… using their skills, and begin to wholly contribute what they have to offer without shame.

  • to live life – not hinder life
  • to help build up – not tear down
  • to lead and guide – not push and control
  • to be a giver – not a taker
  • to encourage – not shame

What might be on my ‘Purpose List’ today?

The Think-u-bator

The incubator was designed as a place of warmth and protection while something grew and developed.

Our mind is the same way. It is a protected place where no one can enter unless we allow it, while what goes on inside grows and develops.

I love to think thoughts of how I can/could do something, make things better, try a new arrangement or color scheme in my home or yard, refurbish something old…

We have been given the capacity to think and plan and make and do. We have the ability to look at something or think about something and make it come to pass. How? First, we might see a need, or just imagine something out of the blue so to speak. We mull it over in our mind and begin to craft it there – where only we can see and imagine its growth and what it could become. Then if we choose, we can take steps to make it come to pass.

How did the Golden Gate Bridge come to pass? People got tired of driving all the way around the San Francisco Bay to get to the other side. Yes, it was years talking, planning, thinking, imagining, testing, consulting. Many said it would never work; the current and tide were too strong, the waters too deep. How would boats get through??? and on and on…But one man imagined it as a real possibility and set to work. His goal was to build it not only functional, but beautiful and lasting and with as few casualties as possible. And it happened as he dreamed it would.

Today we drive over it every day. It is a landmark known all across the world. An idea, pursued and developed which has benefited millions of people.

What idea is in your think-u-bator waiting further development. It might not be a physical bridge, but could be another type bridge bringing people or other ideas together for good changes.

Your ‘bad’ idea might be a stepping stone to a better idea. Keep your mind strong. Allow yourself to imagine what could be…maybe it can become reality!
