I love young people. I was once a young people.
They have such zeal, fearlessness, determination to see and learn and develop. There’s a tremendous propensity to make wrongs in the world right. They have the energy and fortitude to do it.
We need this…we need this desperately! However, being a youth means you have not experienced and seen everything. You may haven’t had the opportunity to learn and read about history…the past, other civilizations, other individuals, other cultures, and where it led them.
I think there’s great unrest in the world as our youth revolt against perceived wrongs.
This is where we adults have to be especially careful. We do not want to purposefully mislead our youth to further our goals or feed personal past hurts and motives…because at some point the youth will wake up and see they have been lied to and misled. Woe to those who have lied and misled them! Their strength, zeal and determinations just may turn back upon those who have tried to use them for their own purposes and gain.
Let’s not let our mistakes, misgivings and faults cause us to withhold our youth from the truth. They are our future, our help and our hope. If we withhold it from them, what will become of not only them, but us?
