Thought Pollution

Lots of talk about polluting our world, the land, the water, the animal kingdoms, the air…

What about us? What about our minds? (and thoughts?)

I believe the first and primary place we need to fight pollution is in our mind and thought realm. What we think about is what we do about. What we do about is what we make, like, associate with, build, create and become.

How does this work?

The thought pollutant comes and justifies itself, “This will never work; everything is going wrong; nothing can be changed; the world is going to pot; everybody else is doing it; just this one time; no one will know; it’s common behavior; who cares; she’ll never find out; it’s only money; I’m only ‘borrowing’ it; they don’t deserve it; he doesn’t need it; they’re going too slow anyway; I’m only thinking about what I saw on the news; they never did treat me right, so…”

Then our thoughts get all out of whack, we get off course, our plans don’t succeed because we lost focus on what would be good, helpful and beneficial to our life and family.

Notice the pollutants trying to gain access to the mind and thoughts. Filter them out like any other invasive substance and see if your life improves.

You will think better, reason better, make better, do better… be better all around.
