God Made Us Balanced

Upkeep is minimal on a well-designed, well-made…anything!

A garment made of good design and good quality fabric that fits the wearer will last a long time with minimal upkeep if we care for it according to its making.

A good set of wheels/tires on the car will run for a long time with minimal wear as long as they are kept balanced. I’m not a mechanic, but follow along.

The well made grandfather clock, once the gears are in place and is kept wound will run for years and years.

We were designed to last and run efficiently with minimal maintenance if we stay balanced according to our design.  Here’s what I discovered. If I follow the manufacturer’s guidelines of eat, sleep and exercise, things seem to be OK.

Drink enough plain water and I’ll want more water…plus my body feels lighter somehow.

Eat wholesome real food, grown by nature and made by a real person, I’ll want more good real food. I won’t have bizarre food cravings and feel hungry all the time, or get sick very often.

Walk, bike, exercise daily to keep my muscles and blood moving and I have more energy, and feel up to any task.

Basically, I think we’re designed so if we are good to ourselves, we’ll want to keep doing good for ourselves. It becomes a repetitive pattern.

Conversely, if we fall into bad unhealthful habits, we get out of balance, things don’t function as well, and we begin to repeat them over and over to our detriment.

BUT!…according to our design, we can switch back over to good, healthful ways of living and soon we’re back on track feeling and working at our best.

What do I need to switch back over to do better today?
